Track Manager, Carnahan, Lauds the Creation of Division 6 in Summit SuperSeries

John Carnahan, PCMS Track Manager, has worked closely with the IHRA officials to make the creation of Division 6 a reality for the racers in the northwestern United States and Canada.

Carnahan, along with his son and families, traveled to Virginia Park Raceway for the Super SummitSeries races with son Chris Carnahan testing his racing skills.

Division 6 includes PCMS, the Minot track and eight tracks in the Provinces.

Division 6 will give tracks in the western portion of North America a chance to partake in the top grassroots racing program in the country.

Each track will be able to compete in the Summit Team Finals which will be held next season at Castrol Raceway in Edmonton, Alberta.

Skooter Peaco, IHRA VP of Race Operations stated, “Focusing on sportsman racing and the opportunity the Summit SuperSeries and Summit Team Finals brings to this region is unprecedented.” He further stressed that it is a big step for us as we continue to grow IHRA’s footprint and solidifies IHRA as the sanction organization of record in Canada and opens up a whole new dimension to our sportsman programs and creates opportunity for tracks and competitors in the region to create a division and programs that work for them.
